March Events

Saturday, March 7, 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. – Young Souls Annual Meeting
Come and join us for the 4th Young Souls Annual Meeting! This is your opportunity to learn more about how our group works and provide input into what will happen over the next year. We will also discuss the new communications policy and review the roles and responsibilities of board members in preparation for the upcoming election in May. RSVP on Facebook so we know how many to expect (and how much pizza to order!), and we’ll see you in the Eaton Room (2nd Floor) at All Souls!

Wednesday, March 11, 7:30 p.m. – Vespers
Come join other members of the All Souls community for a contemplative service with singing and silent meditation. Contact Cledwyn with any questions.

Friday, March 13, 7:00 p.m. – First Second Friday Potluck
Please join us for a wonderful potluck dinner with a spiritual component! Thanks to Kelly Perry and Matt Hyland for hosting. Please RSVP on Facebook and let us know what you’ll be bringing, and label your contribution for animal products, gluten, alcohol, and common allergens. Contact Jennifer Du Mond with any questions.

Saturday, March 14, 8:00 p.m. – Square Dancing at St. Stephen’s
Join fellow young souls, and hundreds of others, for what has been described by a wiser soul than us as, “literally the best $5 BYOB no-pressure-trad-hippie dance party that you will find around. Ability to count to 8 while walking in a left-right pattern is welcomed but not required.” In recognition of Pi Day, there will apparently be a Pie Walk; plan accordingly. RSVP on Facebook at their event page, and contact Cledwyn with any questions.

Sunday, March 15, 9:30 and 11:15 a.m. – Rededication of All Souls Church
Come celebrate the completion of our building renovations with special services on Sunday, March 15, at 9:30 and 11:15 am. Refreshments and tours of the building will follow both services. Let’s celebrate and give thanks for all we’ve accomplished together!

If you have not yet made a gift to support our Third Century Challenge Capital Campaign, it’s not too late. A gift of any size is welcome and significant. You can make a secure gift here.

Sunday, March 22, 1:00 p.m. – Brunch at Johnny Pistolas
After the second service, meet the Young Souls in Pierce Hall to head over as a group. Or meet us there for brunch at 1:00 pm.  Please RSVP on Facebook to help us get a headcount.  Contact Jen Du Mond with any questions.

Sunday, March 29, 12:45 p.m. – Green Souls Celebrate Spring!
Celebrate spring, rejuvenate Green Souls, exchange ideas & plans, and hear about important 2015 events on climate justice and environment. Meet in the Longfellow Room after second service.

Sunday, March 29, 8:00 p.m. – Trivia
Join Cledwyn at Bedrock Billiards at 1841 Columbia Road NW for some trivia and socializing to wrap up the weekend! Contact him for more information.
