Sundays – Mindful Souls

Wednesday, November 4th, 7:30 PM – Vespers at All Souls

These monthly services combine singing, chanting, and candle-lit meditation to bring calm to the middle of your week.

Friday, November 6th – November Potluck

Bridget O’Brien will host. Two and a half blocks from the Potomac Avenue metro stop off the silver, blue, and orange line. Ample street parking, a small yard with a firepit, and great company! Monday, November 9th, 6:30pm – Young Souls Ideation Meeting

The Young Souls board will be meeting at Potters House at 1658 Columbia Rd NW to have an open brainstorm about different things Young Souls can do this year. If you have a brilliant idea you wouldn’t mind sharing the copyright on, all are welcome to contribute. If we use your idea, you win the right to say it was your idea. Yay!

Thursday November 19th: Affordable Housing Meeting with Mayor Bowser. 6:30-8:30PM (Covenant Baptist UCC)  3845 S. Capitol Street, SW  Starting this month, there’s a monthly Headline Social Justice Event where we all show up together to make an impact! This meeting is one of the first major events for a new interfaith campaign for affordable housing. Rev. Rob calls this event a major church priority. Let’s show him, the church community, and Mayor Bowser that we care about affordable housing. E-mail Johnny Reed to learn more, and watch that inbox for additional info.

Sunday, November 22nd – Thanksgiving Food Drive Bagging

Help wanted! Volunteers are needed to help make this year’s Food Drive the best ever. Three shifts: 9-11, 11-1, and 1-3. If you can serve as a setup crew member, shift coordinator, or runner (which requires strong arms and quick feet), contact Chief Program Officer Leo Jones. Thanks for your help!

Friendsgiving – November 26th at 6pm

Reeve is hosting a friends’ Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 26th at 6pm.  The group may visit a museum during the day…and watch Planes, Trains, and Automobiles after dinner.  You can RSVP by emailing  Reeve.

Sunday, November 29th, 1:15 PM – Brunch at Meridian Pint

After the service, meet the Young Souls in Pierce Hall to head over as a group. Or meet us at Meridian Pint at 12:45 pm. The brunch is downstairs and it requires an ID to get into so don’t forget that! Please RSVP on Facebook to help us get a headcount.  Contact Cledwyn Jones with any questions.

Volunteers Needed All Souls needs volunteers to help count the collection plate.  Counters meet after service and serve one Sunday each month or as a substitute. The time commitment is approximately 30 minutes.  Email Reeve for more information.
