Thursday, June 30th, 5:30 PM – YS Social Justice Task Force Meeting
Please join the YS Social Justice task force this Thursday (June 30th) in the All Souls Library for a discussion of upcoming social justice events, a recapping of recent social justice events that YS participated in, and a discussion of how to continue to engage others in social justice. Open to all.

Monday, July 4th, 4 PM – Fourth of July Concert and Fireworks!
The US Army Band is playing a Fourth of July concert at the Washington Monument followed by an awe-inspiring fireworks display just a few hundred yards away. It’s a heart-thumping experience. Let’s check it out! We’ll have blankets, lots of drinks/snacks, board games, a soccer ball, and a Frisbee. We’ll stake out a spot at 4pm. The concert starts at 6pm and the fireworks begin at dusk. Feel free to join anytime. It’s a great way to meet new people and welcome the sunshine 🙂
Tuesday, July 12th, 7 PM – Young Souls Summer Ideation Meeting
Do you have any new ideas for Young Souls events? Come to our quarterly ideation meeting to share with us! We will be meeting on Tuesday June 12th from 7:00 – 8:00 PM at Ben Whelan-Morin’s house (4322 14th Street NW, Washington, DC 20011) to have an open brainstorm about different events Young Souls can do this summer. We need your innovative ideas on how to create engaging events. Everyone is welcome. See you there!
Sunday, July 17th, Noon – Young Souls Brunch
After the service, meet the Young Souls in Pierce Hall to head over as a group to brunch. Location is to be determined.
Sundays – Mindful Souls – 11:45am – Meditation
Meet in Classroom 2 (downstairs).
Mondays – Young Souls Classic Movie Night
Every Monday watch a critically acclaimed film. Popcorn and a movie inspired cocktail will be served. Showtime is at 7:30pm.
Thursdays – Young Souls Book Club
The YS Book Club is reading The Bad-Ass Librarians of Timbuktu by Joshua Hammer: “To save precious centuries-old Arabic texts from Al Qaeda, a band of librarians in Timbuktu pulls off a brazen heist worthy of Ocean’s Eleven.” The YS book club meets every Thursday at 7:30pm.
