2016 Young Souls September Events

Saturday, August 27th, 2:00 – 3:30pm – Imagining a World Without Police

Have you ever wondered what communities would look like with little or no state-based policing? For many, a world without police is controversial or even unimaginable, but it is possible. Join us on Saturday, August 27th to discuss the fundamental problems with our current model of policing and imagine a world without police as we know them. This event will be conversation-based, allowing  us to learn from each other as we think about community-based alternatives to policing and making our communities safer for everyone. Availability will be limited due to room capacity, so please RSVP here. We look forward to a insightful and stimulating conversation! Location: NOE Meeting Room, Northeast Library, 330 7th St., NE.
