All Souls Spring Auction
This year’s Spring into Auction is approaching! In April, we are looking for donations and volunteers – especially from Young Souls. (This means you!) Popular donations last year included seats at dinner parties, wine tastings, game nights, photo shoots, bike lessons, computer lessons, help moving – ways that people can get to know each other in our community. The more creative, the better! Volunteer-wise, we have needs for committee members – including outreach/communications, updating the auction website/organizing items online and wo/manning the tables between service for donations. Since it’s a short term project (~6 week start to finish), It’s easy to be a one time volunteer or stick around for the whole gig. If you have any questions, suggestions, or just want to help out, please contact Pooja Jhunjhunwala. Would love to hear from you!
Young Souls May Circle Suppers – Looking for hosts!
March Circle Suppers were a success! We had over 50 Young Souls attend 10 different Circle Suppers. It was a great way to spend time with other Young Souls in a smaller setting. Thank you to the hosts for hosting such wonderful dinners! Interested in hosting a Circle Supper in May? Contact YS Communications Chair, Justine Rothbart. Take a look at Circle Supper photos on the Young Souls Blog and Facebook.
Classic Movie Mondays
Watch a critically acclaimed film. Popcorn and a movie inspired cocktail will be served. Showtime is at 7:30pm. Co-hosted with Souls in the Center. Contact Reeve for more information. Want to learn more about Classic Movie Mondays? Check out this blog post!
Thursdays – Young Souls Book Club
In April the Young Souls Book Club will read The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis. This classic has entertained and enlightened readers the world over with its sly and ironic portrayal of human life and foibles from the unique vantage point of Screwtape, a highly placed assistant to “Our Father Below.” At once wildly comic, deadly serious, and strikingly original, C. S. Lewis gives us the correspondence of the worldly-wise devil to his nephew Wormwood, a novice demon in charge of securing the damnation of an ordinary young man. The Screwtape Letters is the most engaging account of temptation—and triumph over it—ever written. The YS book club meets every Thursday at 7:30pm. For more information, contact Reeve.
Hi Young Souls!
To nominate yourself or someone else for leadership on the Young Souls Board, please fill out the form here.
See the following blurb from Valerie Briggs regarding an organizational meeting for Souls in the Center. After a very successful joint event in January, it would be nice to see some “rising Young Souls” take on some leadership in Souls in the Center so we can make that partnership even stronger in the coming year!
