Friday, April 6th, 7pm – Young Souls April Potluck

Join us for our monthly Young Souls potluck! Potlucks are held at a home of one of our members and is a great event for newcomers. Please bring a dish or drink to share with everyone. Wednesday, April 11th, 5:30pm – Young Souls Happy Hour

Join us for our monthly happy hour! This is an excellent event for newcomers to attend and meet other Young Souls. Local 16 donates 10% of our checks back to All Souls. Sunday, April 15th, 1pm – Young Souls April Brunch

Join us on Sunday April 15th at 1pm for our monthly Young Souls brunch. Our brunch will be the congregational meal. It’s a great time to mingle and get to know other people at All Souls, and the meal’s pretty cheap too! Wednesday, April 18th, 6:30pm – Young Souls UU Principles Discussion Group (Rescheduled)

Have you ever wanted to know more about the Principles of Unitarian Universalism? Every third Wednesday of the month we will gather to discuss these basic tenants of the Unitarian Universalist faith. We’ll talk about the actual language of the principle, historical UU perspectives, and our own experiences in relation to the month’s principle. On Wednesday, April 18th, we will cover the 7th principle: “Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part.” Snacks and, friendship will be provided. All are welcome, and those who are either new to the community or excited about the faith are especially encouraged to come. Saturday, April 28th, 7pm – Young Souls UU Principles Discussion Weekend Edition!

Are you interested in the ongoing UU Principles discussion groups, but haven’t had the time to attend? We are meeting for a second time on the weekend for the Young Souls UU Principles Discussion Group! The event will start around 7:00 in the evening and will be a potluck style dinner and conversation about Unitarian Universalist core beliefs. For this meeting we will focus on the Fifth Principle: The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregations and in society at large. RSVP on Facebook here. We’re looking for hosts for May Circle Suppers! These are wonderful events for newcomers to meet fellow Young Souls in smaller settings. You can host at your home or at a restaurant. Volunteer to Organize Weekend on the Bay

Have you attended Fall Retreat or Winter Escape and totally loved it?! If so, you should consider helping to organize Weekend on the Bay, our congregation-wide summer retreat from June 1-3. Contact Maxine at for more info and for information on ways to get involved!

We’re looking for new blog posts! Do you have a blog post idea for the Young Souls Blog? We’re looking for new writers to contribute. You could write about a Young Souls event, an All Souls event, or any other topic! Previous blog posts have been about spiritual resources in the DC area, Classic Movie Nights, and the history of the All Souls neighborhood. Contact Justine Rothbart if you’re interested!

Sign up for the new Young Souls listserv here! We have set up a new free-posting listserv for everything from invitations to events, rapid response protests, to housing availability and requests. Remember to follow our communication covenants and guidelines and be sure your “Display Name” is your full first and last name.
