Hello Young Souls,
The year for the 2017-18 Young Souls Board is drawing to a close. We are looking for some fresh minds and souls to step up and lead our group for the 2018-19 year!
Sunday April 15, 1:30pm, Leadership in Young Souls Discussion
Want to learn more about leadership with the Young Souls? Join us after Brunch/All Souls Lunch (room TBD) to discuss what leadership on the Young Souls Board is like and opportunities for growth as we embark on a new year within All Souls Church.
Our nomination process is as follows:
Please nominate folks by April 20th, 2018.You can nominate yourself or someone else for leadership (please verify with nominee that they are interested before nominating them). Use this form to complete the nomination.
You must be a member of the church to run for leadership, unless you get special permission and do not have a challenger for the same position who is a member. The last day to join the church before the nomination window closes is April 18th.
Please take the time to write a brief bio and submit a headshot on the nomination form.
A list of nominees is sent to the All Souls Board of Trustees and the Committee on Right Relations to double check that nominees are eligible for leadership roles within the church.
The Young Souls Board receives a final list of nominees and gathers remaining bios/headshots. The general membership listserv will receive the list of nominees with bios and headshots.
The Young Souls Board publishes a final ballot via the All Souls website so that members of the church who identify as Young Souls can vote in the election.
We always have space for additional leadership opportunities, so there is no reason to campaign. If that’s unclear, please do not campaign for these roles.
Alice Goldberg, outgoing President of the Young Souls, and Jason Michalek, outgoing Membership and Welcoming Chair, are managing the logistics for the election. Please email us at email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or comments and we will get back to you ASAP.
Thanks, and happy Spring Elections!
Alice G & Jason
PS: Being on the Young Souls Board has been an incredibly rewarding experience – I’ve gotten to meet, collaborate, and build friendships through joyful times and through the challenges that we are facing as a congregation today. The talented and dynamic folks I have the privilege to meet through the Young Souls give me such hope, and I would not take back a single hour that I spent helping to sustain this wonderful group’s activities. It’s a ton of fun and I highly recommend leadership with the Young Souls group! 🙂 -Alice G
