Monday, October 29th, 5:30pm – Young Souls Happy Hour with Rev. Rob Hardies

Friday, November 2nd, 7pm – Young Souls November Potluck

Join us for our monthly Young Souls potluck! Potlucks are held at a home of one of our members, and they are great events for newcomers. Please bring a dish or drink to share with everyone. Sunday, November 4th, 1pm – 4pm – Joining All Souls

Ready to become an official member of the church? At the end of this three-hour exploration of what it means to be a member of All Souls, you’ll be invited to sign the book.Register here. Sun., Nov. 4, 1:00-4:00 pm, Eaton Room.

 

Sunday, November 11, 1:30pm – Young Souls November Brunch

We will meet in Pierce Hall after service and walk to a nearby restaurant to enjoy brunch together. This is an excellent event to attend if you are new. There’s an All Souls Library Open House on the same day, so we’ll stop by the open house and then head to brunch. RSVP on Facebook here. Questions? Contact Cora.

 

Wednesday, November 14th, 5:30pm – Young Souls Happy Hour

Join us for our monthly happy hour! This is an excellent event for newcomers to attend and meet other Young Souls. Local 16 donates 10 percent of our checks back to All Souls. November 16th – 18th – Young Souls Fall Retreat – Registration full!

Fall Retreat is a weekend getaway to the Shenandoah River Valley State Park. Join other Young Souls for a weekend of spirituality, community, and fun! Stalwarts and newbies alike can meet new friends and deepen current relationships. Registration is currently full this year. Contact Amber if you have any questions or if you’d like to be added to the waitlist.

 

Sunday, November 25th, 2pm – Young Souls Hike

A festive hike at Dumbarton Oaks. It is free during the winter season, so no charge to enter and enjoy the beautiful scenery! Just bring a water bottle. Let’s meet at the main entrance around 2 pm. Email Laura if you have any questions about this event. RSVP on Facebook here.

 

Thursday, November 29th, 7pm – Many Voices Reading Group

Join the Many Voices Reading Group for a discussion of a short reading (and for socializing with some bookish people). We’ll meet at Neil Manzullo’s apartment starting at 7pm. Feel free (but not obligated) to bring snacks or drinks. Please RSVP to the Facebook event.

This month, we’ll read Octavia Butler’s sci-fi story “Bloodchild,” about a world in which human men must bear the children of an alien insect race. The story is available in text or audio formats. Come prepared to talk about reversed gender roles and the struggle of connected societies and insect babies!

 

Young Souls November Circle Suppers – Looking for hosts!

Interested in hosting a Circle Supper in November? Let me know! This happens every other month and these are wonderful events for newcomers to meet other Young Souls in smaller settings. If you’re interested in hosting in November, just let me know when, where, and how many people you can host. You can host at your home or at a restaurant. Souls in the Center is a fellowship of members and friends of All Souls from ages thirty+. Remember to follow our communication covenants and guidelines and be sure your “Display Name” is your full first and last name. Come one, come all to the 2018 Young Souls Fall Retreat on November 16th – 18th

 

Registration for Fall Retreat will go LIVE on October 5, 2018. Registration fills up SUPER FAST so be up early to reserve your spot!  There will be few scholarships available so once registration goes live, please contact me or any member of the board if the cost ($70) is an impediment to your participation and we’ll see what we can do! Just a heads up, there is a no-refund cancellation policy after November 5, 2018. Those remaining funds will go towards the scholarships.

Fall Retreat is a weekend getaway to the Shenandoah River Valley State Park. Join other Young Souls for a weekend of spirituality, community, and fun! At past retreats, we’ve had activities ranging from board games, musical performances, and hikes to workshops on tarot reading, Wicca, neurodiversity, gender sensitivity, ecstatic dance, and yoga.

Stalwarts and newbies alike can meet new friends and deepen current relationships. We hope that you can join us!
